Ardmore Tree Board: Neighborwoods Tree Application Ardmore Neighborwoods 'Share the Shade' This exciting program is designed to replant trees in our neighborhoods and to beautify Ardmore. The program started in 1998 and hundreds of trees have been planted in this project. The trees are to be planted at owner-occupied home sites, to provide a canopy of shade for Ardmore citizens. These trees are available at a fraction of their regular cost on a first-come, first-served basis, one per household, per year. *The homeowner pays $25.00 for the tree. The Ardmore Tree Board, the City of Ardmore, and Ardmore Beautification Council will assist any person wanting to receive one of these beautiful young trees. To receive a copy of Recommended Trees for Ardmore or a copy of Trees for Ardmore call 580-223-2230 Each spring applications are available. Accepted homeowners will be notified by November 15 of their participation. The homeowner must agree to plant and water the tree and provide general maintenance. A time will be scheduled for the homeowner and the ATB to consult on a proper planting location. The City of Ardmore must approve front yard planting sites. Accepted applicants will receive their trees in February or March. The homeowner will be responsible for planting the tree under the direction of the ATB. **The homeowner agrees to attend a tree workshop, facilitated by the ATB, prior to receiving their tree. Please share this information with your friends and neighbors. *Eligibility -- Owner-occupied home sites within the Ardmore city limits. **Replacement Policy -- (only for participants that attend a tree care workshop)- We will replace your tree on a one-time basis during the first growing season should the tree not survive.
